Feel Like Rain?

Hey! I'm Jared, pretty much everything you'll see on here will be about Soccer, Ska, Movies or Super Heroes. My favorite teams are the Seattle Sounders FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC and Real Madrid. I also love the Boondock Saints, Motion City Soundtrack, Jamie Cullum and Captain America. Sounders sign Marcus Hahnemann. I think Adrian might have a keeper hoarding problem.

If Chivas USA rebranded to something like this, I guarantee, they’d attract more fans and more foreign players.
The reason Chivas lacks fans is because they are isolating their team to Guadalajara supporters.  That said, it won’t attract every Latin soccer fan.  If they changed their name to something like Los Angeles FC or whatever is in this picture, MANY more fans would be willing to give them a chance. I personally, although wouldn’t be a fan of this team, would hate them a lot less because to be honest, they are just “rejects” of not only Guadalajara but also LA.  Los Angeles FC would be a great opportunity to allow a more worldly brand like the Galaxy.  Chivas USA isn’t going to be a successful project because the owners, Jorge Vergara isn’t willing to spend money on players for this team.
They should spend money on a star player, change the name, and also find their own stadium.  Being from the Inland Empire,  I personally could see an LA based team in the Ontario area or in Pasadena.

Sharing a stadium with LA Galaxy must be incredibly rough. They’re like the younger brother living in their older brothers shadow failing at life. Why were they named after a Mexican team? Was it to fulfill the dreams of Mexicans in Cali with an American version of their team? Well it isn’t working. Every time I test myself to count the number of teams in MLS, I always forget about Chivas USA. I say rebrand the name, and move the hell out of Carson. The Home Depot can only support one team, and that’s LA Galaxy. Move the team to Arizona, who have a quite a number of fans who follow soccer as well. You’ll get your moneys worth, you’ll spread the league, and increase the number of fans. It’s a WIN WIN.

They’re called Chivas because their initial roster was a group that didn’t make Chivas Guadalajara. It was like a B team.
